Photography Competition and Exhibition
Following the success of the 2010 Sacred Space Calendar, preparations are under way for next years calendar to highlight the beauty and interest of wildlife and history that can be found in the rural churchyards in the Sacred Space project.
A Sacred Space photography exhibition is touring various churches during the Arts Festival period which includes some of the photographs submitted in last years competition. The exhibition will also include photographs of yew trees which can be found in Wrexham, Wales and Europe, as well as photographs of other wildlife and historic features which can be found in the churchyards.
Opening hours 10.00 am to 4.00pm daily (except during services) in the locations below
1st - 11th May @ St Mary, Chirk
12th - 21st May @ All Saints, Gresford
22nd - 23rd May @ St Paul, Isycoed
25th May - 4th June @ St Chad, Hanmer.
Full details of the 13 churchyards involved can be found on the project website. The winning photograph will appear in the 2011 Sacred Space Calendar with full credit.
